the Goal

Lighthouse Bible Institute (LBI) was born out of the desire to fulfill one aspect of our mission as a local church. We have a great desire to prepare men and women for the ministry. LBI has a three phase goal.

1) Enlist the Soldier

It is our desire to have any saved person enroll in LBI. We want to be able to train Christians that go to Lighthouse Baptist Church, those in the surrounding areas, and those remotely. LBI is designed so you can stay in your local church while still attending live classes.

2) Equip the Saint

The purpose of the classes is to prepare both men and women for the ministry. Our desire is that you would learn the Bible and many other aspects of the ministry. Whether you are a lady who just wants to learn the book, or a man called to preach, we believe LBI will equip you to serve God!

3) Establish the Servant

We earnestly desire to help establish you in the faith. Paul said in Romans 1:11, “For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established.” We want to help establish men to be pastors, evangelists, missionaries, and faithful servants at their local churches. We want to establish godly women to serve alongside those men! Lastly, we want to establish the next generation of young folks to serve the Lord Jesus Christ!

Learning Options

Flexible Ways to Learn

Lighthouse Bible Institute offers several ways for students to participate in classes, making quality biblical education accessible regardless of location.

In-Person Classes

Attend classes at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Lincoln Park, Michigan, and enjoy direct interaction with instructors and fellow students.

Live Online

Students enrolled in live online classes receive a Zoom link and participate in real time from anywhere with an internet connection.

Recorded Classes

Students unable to attend live sessions may watch recordings shortly after class concludes while staying on pace with the current class schedule.

Student Information

An Overview of LBI

The following information will help prepare you for your experience at Lighthouse Bible Institute.

Online Equipment

Students participating in live online classes must have access to a computer, tablet, or smartphone equipped with both a camera and microphone.

Non-Live Students

Recorded classes are generally uploaded shortly after each class. Students may watch them at their convenience but should remain current with the live class schedule. All examinations must be completed at the same time as the live students.

On-Demand Courses

A limited number of classes may be offered on demand, allowing students to complete coursework at their own pace.

Christian Testimony

Students are expected to maintain a Christ-honoring testimony before both believers and unbelievers. Those enrolled at Lighthouse Bible Institute should conduct themselves in a Christian manner at all times and may not participate in organizations that are anti-government.
